Name of event: International cooperation project: First hungarian playtown for children in the summer of 2009

Description: The youthworkers of Ditzingen, a small town near Stuttgart, and Gyula the hungarian partnertown of it, laying near the romanian borderline, are planing for the year 2009 the first hungarian playtown for childs. Gyula is a city with 45000 inhabitants, with a great cultural history and the only full saved brick- castle in Europe and a rather big medical free swimming-bath. Both are in the center of the town with a little lake and a big green place between. We start planing together in the year 2007 for this project. In 2007 the female leader of the Gyula tourist information stay for 2 weeks in summer in Ditzingen for supervising the last Ditzingen child play town „Ditzimena“, a science – playtown. In the summer of 2008, 6 persons from Gyula, the former leaders of the Gyula childplaytown, will stay in Ditzingen for 2 supervising - weeks and want to learn details about structure notes and soul of the 12th Ditzinger childplaytown, which firms under the theme of „africa“. The expense for the supervising – weeks will be supported by partnership resources from the EU. At the „international playbus congress“ in Luxembourg in november of 2007, the first contact to Livia Alexandru coordinator of the romanian SOS playbus were raise, to cooperate for this project. Very intrested in this project, now we want to start a triangle project with german, hungarian and romanian childs and caretakers.

Now we need your practicale knowledge for financal supporting this triangle international youthwork

We are seeking for playbuses with international experiences to start seeking for adapted moneysources from the EU to support the project.

ICCP, in co-operation with IPA, has edited a book on children’s play.

14 authors are reporting about recent research projects and play initiatives. This first book presents the work of authors from different regions of the world, covering West- and East-Europe, North America and Asia. The contributions of distinguished reseachers offer an excellent intriduction on children´s play from a scientific approach.
